I used to go by the handle “revoltingpawn” and use “geek4revolution” more these days but on this blog just go by my initials “MJ” now.
I am the owner and webmaster of this blog. I travel in cyberspace freely but do have a physical location in Buffalo, NY where I work in the IT department at the downtown central library.
While I hate labels you can say I am on the left side of the political spectrum but it can depend on the issue so a open minded and politically incorrect independent at heart here. This blog got it start because I became wary of the direction this country was heading after George Bush and his neo-conservatives hijacked this country. Worse, most of the people and the media had become oblivious of what has been going on so I have felt the need to speak up. For more on the why, read my Welcome post.
The Ideas and Revolution blog has a official MySpace profile and I also use it for personal stuff so feel free to add me as a friend.
I also started another blog called Hacking the Machine to engage my geek side.
COMMENTS AND RULES OF CONDUCT
Comments are very welcome which add to the discussion but I do suggest you stay on topic and use a spell checker. I do hold a person’s first comment only for moderation and of course filter for spam.
I do have strong opinions when posting here or commenting on other blogs so get over it. Having said that, just because I comment here or on another blog does not mean I want to debate with you. While some blogs are free for alls that is not the case on this blog. This is my blog so I make the rules. Please do not cry censorship or first amendment rights since will just mean you need to go back to a Constitution 101 class.
There are only TWO RULES when commenting…
1. No name calling or personal attacks against me or any other users.
2. Comments must be on topic and relevant to the post.
I normally will give one warning but a second comment violating one of the rules will result in that comment being deleted. If a user continues to be an ass they will be banned.

Hi MJ, I actually just ran across “Shadow Democracy” and noticed that Matthew Podoba was enrolled at Empire State in Social Policy, I just wanted to hear from him about how he likes the program. I am considering following the same route (I went to UB and graduated with a BA in Political Science). If you could please relay this message to him it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for your complaints and I enjoyed your post on the Bush war crimes and the resulting discussion. I try my best to smack down the ignorant. You do not have an About page link on you blog but when I typed in the URL manually in fact you do. Nice story and quote from Frank Zappa.

I laughed when read your link… Tex Taylor showed up at my blog one day and out of the blue spouting personal attacks not just at me but other people who commented on the post. He was actually shocked I banned his ass. After that when I comment on ChenZhen’s blog he shout that I censor people who disagree with me which is just not true (assholes get banned). The best part is I would just ignore him and think at one point he must have popped a blood vessel. Recently, I did grow tired of him and ripped him a new asshole and mentioned the same thing you did about him not being any type of real Christian he claims to be.
