Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL…

Posted by MJ on September 14, 2008

Saturday Night Live opened with a skit featuring Hillary Clinton (Amy Poehler) and Sarah Palin (Tina Fey) last night which was hilarious…

UPDATED 9/16 – NBC lawyers done with going after YouTube uploads of the SNL skit apparently turned to Dailymotion as my video link has been taken down. You can view the video directly at NBC but will need to watch a commercial first of course.

Tina Fey was brilliant! I mean, she’s brilliant in general, and I knew she’d give an amazing Palin impersonation… but I didn’t expect her to be *so* dead-on! If I were only listening and not looking at the TV, I would have completely thought it was SP. Well, minus the self-deprecating, satirical humour.

I thought Tina Fey was playing Sarah Palin straight… LOL

She nailed that accent, that’s for sure.

When everyone talked about how good Tina Fey would be as Sarah Palin, I really didn’t get it until I finally watched the skit Saturday night. I was hooked. Hats off to Tina. I think my only criticism would be that the skit went on too long (a typical SNL flaw). The skit reached its high point when Tina Fey referred to the Bush Doctrine by saying “I don’t know what that is.” CLASSIC.
