Her long list of experience? LOL

The reality is the world wants to see Sarah Palin regardless. She is just feisty enough for voters to say “Damn Right” and give her credit for what she has done so far, that it won’t matter what measure of scandal or slander is brought, she will get the votes. The world wants HOT, anyway it can get it. This is a new arena for HOT. She is everything Hilary could not be. So yeah, we want to see Sarah Palin anyway we can get her. Still off topic but I’ll bite. I happen to agree that Bush is a joke.* I didn’t agree with the Iraq war and think that it was a mistake. At the same time, it wasn’t started for an evil purpose (at least one that can be proven) so once the decision has been made I support success in Iraq.
It’s ridiculous to support failure.
*Like you I’d like to have seen Bush impeached three years ago. I’m sure you agree with me that Cheney would have been a much better president.

Nope, sorry but you can’t have it both ways. One doesn’t need to directly refer to a group in order to generalize about them by implication.
If, for example, one were to substitute the words “white people” for the word “liberals” in your remark (making it “white people think, they just don’t only think about THEMSELVES”) it would be perfectly logical for the reader to assume that to be a racist comment against minorities wouldn’t it?
In any case, leaving the sentence as it stands still makes it a broad generalization (technically two) about liberals (a generalization in iteself) which, of course, was the point of my argument ITFP.

So did your President Bush, “saying they were too costly”. Obama voted to increaase your benefits every time. So go ahead vote for McCain. But when you return to the States remember McCain did not think you were worth it. Don’t beleive me, go on veterans sites that rate McCain against Obama and you will see that Obama gets an A- while McCain gets a D. By the way it was Bush who when asked, if Iran is our enemy why do we keep sending them jet aircraft parts, replied “profit trumps peace”.

I said the world and you listed these countries? Why should they have the interests of America at heart anyway? You must have missed the Obama world tour of Jordan, Israel, Germany, France, England and others where he was getting huge crowds cheering him on. McCain would be lucky to draw 1/10 of the crowd Obama did and this what I based the world on wanting to see a change in leadership in America. Yes, it does matter…

First woman usually are not only thinking about themselves when they chose to end a pregnancy. That’s a bad example anyway since you do know sometimes pro-life conservatives have abortions, yes? People fight to have the right to choose and not on behalf of any of the options. It’s shocking but most pro-choice people are against abortion themselves.
I would never feel guilty in supporting someone’s right to choose.

The war was started based on reasoning that were at best misleading. The result most certainly was evil since 100,000 or so Iraqis are dead and over 4,000 American troops.

First, it’s impossible to know what someone is thinking at any given moment so this statement is just an opinion. Second, the fact that the vast majority of abortions performed in this country are elective gives the strong implication that they are done as a matter of convenience.

Of course they do. Some conservatives are pro abortion too. I myself support abortion when the life of the mother is at risk and in cases of rape and incest.
There are no absolutes to this issue and I have no idea why you made this comment so I guess the short reply to it is: “So what?”.

I’ve never met anyone in my life who said they were in favor of killing babies in the womb… least of all a politician. I once heard the president of Planned Parenthood herself proclaim that “We are all against abortion”.
The old axiom “Actions speak louder than words” applies rather aptly here. Assuming someone isn’t a liar then if they truly don’t support abortion then they should support efforts to ristrict it.

Well here’s a question for you then: At what point does abortion become infantacide?
The religious right will tell you that it’s any time after conception. At what point is it for you?
If a woman “chooses” to abort her child after she’s lost her water and just as the childs head is beginning to emerge is that something you support without any reservations?
Sorry to be so graphic but the current state of the law allows abortion right up to the point where the head fully emerges (and that’s only because it hasn’t been tested further, some have argued that the baby must draw its first breath).
And before you say those situations are rare, one doctor in Kansas performs 1,500 partial birth abortions (excuse me…) late term abortions each year.
