Photo of GOP Vice-President candidate Sarah Palin in the Miss Alaska beauty pageant and others…

Posted by MJ on August 29, 2008

I don’t know about the politics of McCain’s VP running mate Sarah Palin but can say she is a looker, at least as far as female politicians go. The librarian looking glasses are a turn on for myself. She finished second and was Miss Congeniality in the Miss Alaska beauty pageant of 1984. I figured would post some photos of her and maybe my readers can share links of any more hot images of her.

Sarah from the Alaskan pageant…

Damn, I don’t think they had a swimsuit competition!

Her from the same year…

More recent photo of her… Is she wearing real fur?

Not the real Vogue cover of her…

UPDATED 8/30 – I wonder if any nude pics of Sarah Palin will turn up? It’s looks like judging by the success of this post (among the top posts on WordPress) and the people like Ms. Palin visually anyway. The Google results are being dominated by Sarah photo, swimsuit competition, and nude searches. Republicans have been repressed for to long and need some eye candy thinking. The looks of Sarah Palin would not be so important I am guessing if she had some real history of experience.

I am pound to be at the fore front of this important matter and thanks to all my readers. :-)

UPDATED AGAIN – The Alaska government photos page of Sarah Palin brings up a 404 error!

http://gov.state.ak.us/photos.php

I do have some more photos for you hound dogs…

She has legs and a motorcycle!

WOW … What a great pick!!! America should elect
McCain & Palin for the Whitehouse in November,
for a return to wholesome American values.
An experienced Governor for V.P. vs. a
community organizer for President … I pick Palin.
No Wright, no Farrakahn, no Ayers, no Rezko,
    no mean Michelle, NOBAMA

Yes she is a looker. So what??? We are talking about being a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Nobody knows her, including John McCain. He only talked to her once! We do know however that she is under investigation in Alaska for possible abuse of her executive power. Again, nobody knows yet if these alegations are true or false, including John McCain! Yet John McCain picked her as his running mate. That is reckless. That is gambling with the country and the entire free world.

  15. Brent…

I laughed out loud at your igloo joke.

    Harvardtohardhat…

Alaska is one of our most important states???

    Gina…

You seem to be delusional since your comment was not based in any reality I know. Return to wholesome American vales? I guess you admit Bush and company lack any values. I know you can’t be referring to Obama who has one long term marriage vs. McCain who now is on his second wife after cheating on his first. Let’s not forget Ms. Palin who got knocked up first then decided to get married to her husband.

I can’t believe you compared Ms. Palin experience to Obama’s record while dissing it. Let’s look at the facts…

Yes, Obama was a community organizer and Ms. Palin was entering beauty contests. Obama got his degrees at Columbia and Harvard Law School (was President of his class) and Sarah earned her degree at the University of Idaho (sure a fine school). Obama was a State legislator for 8 years while Sarah baby sat a town of 6,500. Obama is now a senator in Congress but Ms. Palin is a Governor of a third tier state. Who has more and better experience?

It would serve you to know the facts so don’t make ignorant sounding comments like you just did.

  16. Brett Moskowitz said

This pick shows that John McCain has poor judgement when it comes to making important decisions. He has chosen someone for political reasons–she is a woman; she is conservative; and she is young. He did not consider that a lot of people would be turned off by the fact that she is very inexperienced; is not particularly well educated compared to the other candidtates (she has a BA from the University of Idaho in journalism…compare that to Obama being the #1 law student at Harvard and the President of the Harvard Law Review!); and, most importantly, she does not support a woman’s right to choose and has a poor record on the environment, even compared to McCain. She is an extreme right wing conservative with no credentials to be on this ticket other than her age and gender. This is not only a cynical choice, it is a bad decision showing why McCain would make a bad president. I would love to hear why you would support this woman, based on her experience and political views. And how can she raise a baby with Down syndrome when she is Vice President? Where is her commitment to this child?

  17. Dadzo said

There is no ceiling, glass or otherwise, on the cynicism of the Republican Party. Sarah Palin may be a wonderful mother, wife, governor, person … all of that, and yet she can’t possibly be the most qualified and capable female Republican politician available, can she? Or is she just the best-looking? Diehard Hillary supporters should be outraged by this play for their votes. In terms of intellect, experience, philosophy and world view, Palin is the polar opposite of Hillary.

  18. I think she is good for our country. I’m not a REP., but I can change.Shes will give Obama and Biden a run for there money. When Biden and Palin debate just watch how is is going to do. As for experience Obama has none and we don’t need a socialist country, he will raise everyone taxes and so will everyone else.

  20. MJ Revoltingpawn,

To your question — given the country’s energy crisis, yes, Alaska is much more important to this country’s economy than most Americans realize. Of course, you can choose to diasagree. But I believe that Palin’s experience working in an oil-based economy is a tremendous plus for the country.

And, by the way, have you been there? The residents are amazing. Tough, smart and hospitable.

Just one woman’s opinion. Choose to agree or disregard, but she has my vote and let’s face it, that is McCain’s goal after all.

Anyway, that being said, I like your blog. Spirited debate is good for everyone.

Even my 8 year old granddaughter heard that and commented
“It’s a one-in-a-million chance a President will die; and if he does, the Vice President who steps in wouldn’t be making the important decisions till the crisis is over anyway.”
And I would add, it just wouldn’t be that long before we could picked another one. Historically, we often pick the VP who took over, even though the sky had fallen, chicken little.
Print the real objections (you know, jealousy, fear of competency, women-stay-barefoot, or whatever)

Obama was a State legislator for 8 years while Sarah baby sat a town of 6,500. Obama is now a senator in Congress but Ms. Palin is a Governor of a third tier state. Who has more and better experience?

Obama has no experience AT ALL as an executive. The Office of the President (and VP) are Executive Jobs as in CEOs. My uncle was a top level pipefitter in nuclear power plants. It’s an honorable distinction but doesn’t say a thing about Executive Experience. A Governor is an Executive (Think CEO), a Mayor is an Ececutive (manages a budget, has the last say, final responsibility, etc.). Senator Obama has NOTHING similar to that. Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t make a good President; many with NO Executive experience have. But if that’s what you believe (as I do) change your argument; the Experience thing is dead, which IS Obama’s main argument by-the-way.

But, you might also want to look at accomplishments. The reasoned among us will (as Senator Clinton has done) greet Gov Pailin with the dignity she deserves as a WOMAN who has EFFECTIVELY kicked more Republican “good ol boy” ass than any other woman alive. And yes, there is a difference between some-gravelly-voiced-man-hater spitting out venom to the terminally angry, and someone like Sarah Pailin who gracefully brings to their knees both the good ol boys (in her own party)as well as the “Big-Oil-Companies-we-SO-love-to-hate”
Maintain some dignity and credibility for we “progressives.” CHECK YOUR FACTS

  26. Harvardtohardhat…

Sorry, Alaska is beautiful but is a minor state. It ranks 47th population wise among states and the Governor doesn’t face as many or as complex problems as other states. We already had a oil guy as President and can see were that led us. Oil is yesterday’s energy solution and we need someone who can look towards the future.

    John Man…

““It’s a one-in-a-million chance a President will die; and if he does, the Vice President who steps in wouldn’t be making the important decisions till the crisis is over anyway.”

I am sure your daughter is precious but like most Republican adults she is misinformed on the issue. John McCain is 73 years old and looks like the living dead already who would be holding the most demanding and stressful job in the nation. Most people retire at 65! His continuing health is a real concern. Don’t worry because the incoming President wouldn’t be making the important decisions? What?! Yeah, the President and VP are not important so why even vote?

“it just wouldn’t be that long before we could picked another one. Historically, we often pick the VP who took over…”

No, the VP takes over until the next election which could be up to four years away.

“Print the real objections (you know, jealousy, fear of competency, women-stay-barefoot, or whatever)”

Sorry, those would be the objections of some Republicans if Hillary had won the Democrat party nod. The Dems worry about real issues.

“Obama has no experience AT ALL as an executive.”

So? You already pointed out that we have had successful Presidents with no CEO experiences so it’s a non-issue. The point I made was to look at the whole careers of Obama and Ms. Palin and not pick out one thing.

Obama has shown he can run a successful campaign when the odds are stacked against him.

“the Experience thing is dead, which IS Obama’s main argument by-the-way.”

Huh?! The experience argument was the Republicans line against Obama and yes it is now dead because of the selection of Ms. Palin.

    “CHECK YOUR FACTS”

Which of my facts were not correct?

  27. Michelle said

Wow I can’t believe what I am reading in regard to Sarah Palin. I totally agree with John Man and by the way he said granddaughter not daughter. Complete and utter nonsense. If you think that we are going to do away with oil all of a sudden you are sorely mistaken. Not only do the oil companies have a vested interest but so does the auto industry. The change that this country is looking for should have happened about 5 decades ago. We should have had better public transportation in place. Those are the questions you should be asking, not if Sarah Palin is capable of being V.P. Based on my research about her she will make a GREAT Vice President to compliment John McCain.

We are in the 21st century and it is about time that a Great Woman like Sarah Palin becomes Vice President. GO McCain & Palin!!!!! FTW!!

  28. Michelle…

Thanks for correcting me on the granddaughter and daughter thing. The rest of your comment didn’t make much sense to me.

“If you think that we are going to do away with oil all of a sudden you are sorely mistaken. Not only do the oil companies have a vested interest but so does the auto industry.”

We should worry about the invested interests of the oil and auto industries over the interests of our nation as a whole?

“The change that this country is looking for should have happened about 5 decades ago. We should have had better public transportation in place. Those are the questions you should be asking, not if Sarah Palin is capable of being V.P.”

I ask those questions all the time and don’t see how McCain and Palin being tied to big oil will help on those points you made. We should be looking at if Ms. Palin is capable of being VP that’s part of making informed voting decisions. I think she will be ready to be VP in about four years. Sorry, I don’t think you go from the Mayor of a town of 6,500 and two years later one step away from President.

    To MJ “revoltingpawn”

You are a typical liberal. BHO’s experience is certainly no better than Sarah’s. At least she had responsibiity for running a state. What has Obama run? Sleazy housing and political deals in Chicago? What else? Being a legislator provides no real experience as an executive. Lets take your tact…….

    1. She does not have enough experience:
Answer – she has more practical experience than Obama.

    2. Obama has a better education:
Answer – that means nothing. That means that someone paid for his education….in my extensive business experience, education has nothing to do with intellegence or common sense…and Obama has shown neither thus far. Kissing ass at a big liberal school means nothing to most Americans.

    3. Running a “Third Tier State” is a much greater accomplishment than taking bribes in Chicago and pandering to voters with promises of handouts at every turn. In typical democrat form, Obama has already promised to give away more money than he will will be able to steal…errr I mean tax from the failing economy he will help to tank if he is elected.

You are the one that needs to check his facts. No country in the history of the world has been able to tax itself into prosperty. That only comes from the government getting out of our lives and out of our wallets. And giving us the opportunity to groy the “pie” so everyone gets a bigger piece.

    3. You mean the bribes he has never been convicted of?

You need to get your facts straight on the experience thing. No matter how many times you and other right wing clones say Palin has more experience then Obama it still will not be true. I made it simple for you on my most recent post…

The resume and experience of Obama and Palin compared…

You should become familiar with Obama’s position on taxes and spending while you are it and stop repeating things you heard on Rush Limbaugh.

    • commonsense said

      MJ,

Funny… nobody thinks to mention that Barack Obama brings ZERO experience to the table… but as soon as a woman enters the scene… whoa, wait one minute… who the heck is that?! The media is embarrassing. They will investigate Sarah Palin’s credentials FOR THE NUMBER TWO SLOT, while ignoring OBAMA’S lack of any experience. Why? I guess it’s easier to attack female conservatives than it is to go after black (even if 50%) liberals.

Shame on all of us for buying into this nonsense. McCain needs to look at Obama and say, “You’re NO Joe Biden!” Barack will learn the job from his number two… Palin will learn from the PRESIDENT himself. So explain to me where the parity lies.

    Thanks

I’ve mentioned 9and thought about it) a lot. I’m one of those famous Hillary voters you see. I was actually thinking of voting for McCain. I’ll be honest, I probably would not have, if push came to shove, but I did vote for him in 2000 primary but that was then, but I was thinking about it.

But what this 72 year old man has done with this pick is made a mockery of his own main selling point with me — that experience matters. He is signaling that the “straight talk express” doesn’t run anymore, he’s gonna say and do whatever he thinks he needs to, not what he really believe. The candidate I voted for in 2000 is completely vanished.

What I find bizarre in the coverage (not to mention the various silly posts here) is the idea that the ex-Hilary supporters will line up to vote because of the presence of a female candidate, in spite of the fact that she is radically anti-choice. I do not identify with just any woman, no matter how right wing. The idea that John McCain will win their votes by appointing this random beauty queen I consider an insult to women.

  42. tim duan said

A lot of this “experience” talk is BS…whether from liberals or conservatives. Look back Anh to the past…which presidents had foreign policy experience?

    Bush? No
    Clinton? No
    Bush sr.? yes
    Reagan? No
    Carter? No
    Ford? maybe
    Nixon? not sure

MORE IMPORTANT IS THIS: do you agree with their policies and direction? Only after you answer this question YES does it matter if they have experience.

Obamas love for Brzezinski & his “The Grand Chessboard” nonsense should be enough reason for every American to REJECT Obama.

Why on Earth do you “party people” cling loyal to chronic FAILURES and reward the DC Mafia each and every time for abysmal job performance?

The poor judgment, leadership and performance of the RNC/DNC DC Mafioso over the past 8 years has caused millions of innocent people to suffer, rot to death while living in sewage/DU poisoning, entire families have been blown into Pablum, 35,000+ US casualties along with all the other insults to humanity these crime families caused in OUR NAME. Not to mention the failing budget here at home, great job they’ve done there eh?

And here you people are cheer leading them BOTH, ready to OBEY your party master on voting day. I can agree with your sentiments being a independent voter myself but the fact is in our current political system we only have two choices right now. Obama is not perfect but don’t focus so much on him but the movement behind him which you can get excited about. Remember, Obama was not originally the anointed pick of the Democrat Party so the people want change. The politics of fear and pandering to the lowest common denominator of votes is coming to a end. Obama is just a beginning of a new chapter in America.

I took a brief look at your blog and see you support 3rd parties which I support but we need election reform before they can become viable. We are voting on the lesser of two evils which is Obama and a vote for a 3rd party candidate who can not win is a vote for McCain.

  61. tigerdad said

    John man,

Point taken about “modern medicine”, but even today, from a statistical standpoint, McCain only has about twelve years to go. If you factor in his prior health problems, then it’s a concern.

We’re involved in military actions in two countries, the Russians are sabre rattling again and the economy is more fragile than it’s been at any time since the 1970′s. I don’t have a problem with Sarah Palin as a person, or even as a politician in a different role. But her experience in foreign affairs and economics wouldn’t give me a warm fuzzy in the event that she had to take over.

I’ve said in my blog before that this election is all about the economy. Nothing else will get fixed or properly addressed until that’s under control. Being the governor for two years of a state that is 47th in state GDP and 49th in total state revenue doesn’t seem to be a glowing recommendation. McCain picked Palin because of demographics. In my humble opinion, the choice should have been Romney tied with a mandate to allow him to represent the administration on economic issues.

I also want to say something about the discussion of her youngest son. Even if he’s really her grandson, a fact that’s not in evidence, it is or should be a non-issue. The cynics among us will say that she did it to protect her political career and thereby call her ethics into question. Any mother, or father for that matter, will say that she did it to protect her daughter. That’s an action that most parents would have at least considered. Any that wouldn’t don’t have parenting skills that I would brag about. If she did perpetrate a deception, the big mistake wasn’t the deception itself, it was in taking the second seat knowing that there are no secrets in national politics.

My gut tells me that the son/grandson thing is a smear attack. Time will tell.

  63. Obama talks change, but demonstrates sameo, sameo by selecting who he thinks is a safe old 35-year anti-life member of the Senate as his VP. Although McCain does not talk change as much, he delivers it by selecting a very intelligent and articulate woman who epitomizes change in both ethics reform and energy independence. Sarah Palin demonstates more life and vitality than Obama and Biden combined; They should already know tht she can out run them, out fish them, and out hunt them. She will soon show that she can also out think them and out talk them, and she doesn’t neet a teleprompter to deliver an excellent speach. Don’t underestamate the strength and quality of Sarah Palin.

There were other far more qualified candidates for Senator McCain to choose, but then again he doesn’t make any choices in his campaign, they are made for him. She will not bring in Hillary voters because she is against everything Hillary is for. The GOP just handed the Presidency over to Obama. Thank you Republicans.

We are more addicted to oil than people are with heroin. This country is in denial to our addiction to oil. Drilling for oil takes time, we have alot of oil available. The UAE is manipulating the output to jack up the prices of oil. Exxon last quarter had $100 billion in profits, and only $80 billion last quarter. That isn’t fog in New York at night, heavy air pollution. Athletes in China had to wear breathing equipment due to the heavy air pollution created by oil use. We need to demand the immediate replacement of all cars with electric cars and demand the government pay for the replacement cost. They killed the EV-1 and the oil companies don’t care about anyone but their profits. I think with 3000 planes spewing jet fuel in the atmospher 24 hours a day it might affect the atmosphere a bit. Why don’t we have alternative fuel jet airplanes that run on hydrogen or hydrogen fuel cells. Who’s America is this, the companies or americans. It is funny. Republicans are such hypocrits. They are supposeed to be the party of family values. How does Sarah Palin expect to perform the job of VP while caring for five children, one with down’s syndrome and one 17 year old who will soon be a young mother herself needing her own mother. There is nothing wrong with a woman in politics but timing is everything. Why accept the VP nomination when this is an obvious time where family should be first. You cannot be all things to all people. Either her family will suffer or the vice presidency position will suffer!!!!!

Sensible post. I agree we’d be in a mess with an inexperienced president if those issues “military matters” “the Russians” intensified. And I also agree–although I wouldn’t give the Economy #1 (I’m for seelf-defense 1st)–I definitely agree as far as ongoing prioities Economy #1; without it you got nothin.

I guess I’m a bit cynical; if the President is out, I don’t see the “inner circle” letting a VP have much influence(especially one who doesn’t know how to turn th power on-and-off). Now you play that scenario with Biden; he knows enough about how to use Executive Power to be dangerous. So I don’t think you’d see a guy like him letting his advisors steer the ship in a crisis. While he does have foreign policy “exposure” he has no foreign policy experience as far as making crucial decisions in crucial times; and he is a self-proclaimed impulsive. Worrys me.

Anyway, thanks for the civilized discourse; I get so weary of the hysterical terminally angry therapy seekers in these blogs (or forums or whatever you cal them).

Regarding my granddaughter, as far as the contributor who said “I’m sure she is precious” or whatever; wrong on that too. She’s a pain in the keester, that’s what she is. Nothing near precious.

Look up things like “pollen” and other stuff that grows (as in Green). And don’t forget to explain why all the countries that DID NOT ban DDT don’t seem to be having this asthma pandemic.

As a former republican (now independent) I see this as a major mistake for McCain.

If Sarah Palin was a man would she have been choosen as his VP? No. Why did he pass up Tom Ridge with his great foriegn relations skills. Sarah has only had a passport for 18 months and been out of the U.S. once her whole life.

Plus he didn’t vet her thouroughly. I’m now reading that McCain was only made aware of her pregnant daughter last week. I’m reading that all those people who know her and are close to her were never asked about her history. That means she is about to be publically vetted by the media since McCain’s team didn’t do their job.

This lack of judgement on his part is another reason we need something new and not the same old same old.

I was already leary of McCain after reading about how he was a C- student at the academy and lacked discipline (was often out partying). Comparing that to Obama and his hard work and discipline to get scholorships to attend ivy league schools and his success it made me realize that having a smart and disciplined president might be what our country needs now.

    Anyway, my 2 cents.

Are all you people as dumb and naive as you sound? seriously? Many of you are supporting Barry? Why? Seriously? So far most people I ask this question… say stupid naive things like: “Hey let’s give someone else a chance”. With that type of thinking why even vote. There is no reason to vote just to give someone “a chance”. By that logic, many of you people should run for the Presidency. I mean what’s the difference? I am sure you can all have your little love-ins and pick somebody. Maybe you go through a musical chair process. And hey why not just have a weekly President. I mean… hell I wouldn’t mind being President for a week. I have more experience and accomplishments than Barry… so why not. I have even been told I am a good speaker, so that certainly prepares me to debate Obama… I think absurdity is best demonstrated by absurdity. I hope this absurdity isn’t lost on the naive group thinkers on this site I just aimlessly wandered onto. Have a great day, and remember to vote on November 10th.

  78. @Greg Karr

Yes, everyone voting for Obama is native and stupid… I have never heard anyone say they are voting for Barack Obama just to give him a chance. People are tired of eight years of failed economic and foreign polices and looking for someone to change that. You only need to look at the comments on my blog to see the ignorant reasons why Republicans dislike Obama (rarely ever any mention of why McCain would be a good choice).

Actually Democrats did not have to resort to musical chairs to make their choice but had record voter turn out during their primary process. We had two candidates who had to fight it out to the bitter end. McCain seemed to win by default since the other Republican candidates were just bigger losers then him.

Nobody has ever told you referring to Obama as Barry or his middle name of Hussien makes you sound native and stupid?

I look forward to your experienced name among the Republican candidates in 2012 when they try to take back the Presidency.

    *** COMMENT EDITED ***

I guess I am addressing this post to the Admin of this board. I posted comments, which he edited and went on to address. I guess reading the ignorant comments of so many on this board I should have seen it for what it is….a simple mouth piece for the Dems and the main stream media with their policital bias. Constant statements like “8 years of failed economic and foreign policy” has become very tiring.

Bush is certainly not popular, and I do not care for much of what he has done as President. But the newly elected Democrat congress enjoys approval ratings of about 9% last time I checked. That is about 1/3 of Bush’s approval rating of about 28%. Where are the calls for them to be dumped? Where are the constant references to their “failed policies and agenda’s”?

And I find it very, very funny that most of you assume that the unsubstantiated “news” stories about babies and investigations regarding Palin are all true. While you fail to even notice that the press has not made any effort to learn more about Obama’s history, connections, housing deals etc. I don’t know if they are true or not. But perhaps you should have the honesty to admit that you don’t care what he has or has not done in the past. You are blindly following him because he is your party’s choice.

MDT, do you have some type of learning disability? I have edited out your personal attacks for a third time now. I would think you would take the hint. There is no admin just me – MJ aka “revoltingpawn” who is the owner and main author of this blog. I normally would have just deleted your comment and banned you by now but felt like replying to your comment.

“I guess reading the ignorant comments of so many on this board I should have seen it for what it is…”

Instead of making general remarks about ignorant comments why don’t you give a specific counter argument to any you don’t agree with?

“…a simple mouth piece for the Dems and the main stream media with their policital bias.”

I am not a mouth piece for the Democrat party since if you have followed longer here, other blogs have written on, or comments by me on other sites would know I criticize the Democrat party often enough. Sorry, the mainstream media does not have a “liberal bias” certain right wing blow holes like to mention all the time. Over the last 25 years of media deregulation the mainstream media has been taken over by corporate interests who are not “liberals”.

“Constant statements like “8 years of failed economic and foreign policy” has become very tiring.”

Statements like that if repented is only because hey are very true and relevant.

“But the newly elected Democrat congress enjoys approval ratings of about 9% last time I checked.”

Yes, the Democrat controlled Congress has a low approval rating which is mainly because they are not being aggressive enough to turn back certain policies of the Bush administration. I have called them out a number of times in the past. To be fair they do not have veto over ride power over a Republican President so there is only so much they can do. In their 2 years, they are on pace to pass double the amount of major pieces of legislation (raising the minimum wage and the GI Bill) as the Republican controlled Congress over from the previous 12 years.

“While you fail to even notice that the press has not made any effort to learn more about Obama’s history, connections, housing deals etc.”

What makes you think the press or the Republican party has not looked deeply into the background and history of Obama? Ever consider that no real dirt has turned up on Obama because their is none? Please inform us of anything that you know nobody else does.

“You are blindly following him because he is your party’s choice.”

I am a independent who is progressive on many issues but not all and only a couple years back registered as a Democrat because the city I live in (Buffalo) is a one party town so have little choice if like to vote in local elections. I am not blindly following Obama but thanks for your concern. I feel he is the best Presidential candidate we have seen in a couple of election cycles for a number of reasons.

I know that there is some debate here that Obama has the experience that Palin does not. Well I differ in this opinion. Many believe that Obama has the experience to run a nation because he has been in Congress. Well Congress is what has screwed up this nation in the first place. Obama, McCain, and Biden are all part of the problem with Congress and the outrageous spending that it has done to throw this nation into chaos. Palin has run a City and a State. Granted the state and the city are very small but this makes her an outsider to the problems caused by the three and the other Congress men and women. This alone makes her the only qualified candidate for change. Next, take a look at the Presidential Powers. How is Obama going to do what he promises when the President of the United States has no power to make laws or legislation to affect those things. Come on I would believe that the American public should have learned all this in Government class in High School. Congress spends the money and makes the laws and legislation, not the President. Congress is the one government body responsible for the problems of America, not the President, as many people would have you believe when taking about how George Bush screwed up. Really the only screw up he made was going into Iraq because Commander and Chief is his power. The other screw ups in the nation, domesitc screw ups are caused by the Congress, not the President. Obama, Biden, and McCain are part of the problem because they came from Congress. Palin is the only one that did not come from Congress so she has become the fresh outsider who can spawn the only real change. Reality ladies and gentlemen, these three Congressmen are no good for this country. It will take an outsider to bring real change to this country.
